Kraken Projects 2.1.0 makes it easier to manage a growing project library and keeps public project listings focused on content that is ready to be seen.

The release adds a dedicated Projects dashboard, activity tracking, safer data removal controls, and more reliable public project archives and integrations.

A New Projects Dashboard

The new Projects dashboard gives site administrators a clear view of their project library.

See totals for active, inactive, featured, draft, and categorized projects. Filter the project list, choose how many records appear on each page, review project details, and open any project for editing.

The dashboard also flags published projects that need attention, including projects without a main image, category, project content, or active status.

Panels can be collapsed, expanded, or moved into a preferred order. Each administrator’s layout is saved to their WordPress profile.

Project Activity History

Kraken Projects now records when projects, categories, and settings are added, updated, or deleted.

Recent activity tables show what changed, when it changed, and which user made the change. Records older than 60 days are removed automatically.

This gives administrators a useful record of recent work without requiring a separate activity plugin.

Data Removal Controls

Removing Kraken Projects no longer deletes project content or settings by default.

A new Data Removal setting lets administrators choose whether projects, categories, settings, Customizer values, dashboard preferences, and activity records should be permanently deleted during uninstall.

Technical Notes

Version 2.1.0 also includes code cleanup across the plugin’s templates, blocks, updater, metaboxes, generated CSS, and Customizer controls. Public requests load fewer administration files, and the codebase now follows current WordPress escaping, sanitization, translation, and coding standards.

The minimum supported PHP version is now PHP 8.0.
