2.18.0 Release Kraken Careers
Smarter Notifications, Stronger Applicant Communication
Kraken Careers 2.18.0 is here, focused on giving hiring teams more control over communication. This release adds global email controls, flexible new application notifications, applicant communication workflows, and richer interview scheduling tools.
The goal is simple: make it easier to send the right message, from the right email address, to the right people, without repeating the same setup across every notification.
What’s Inside
Global Email Controls
Kraken Careers now includes global email settings for common sender and recipient details. You can define the default Send To Email, From Name, From Email, and Reply To values once, then use placeholders across notification settings.
This keeps notification setup cleaner and helps avoid mismatched sender details across application, reviewer, schedule, reference, and job status emails.

Multiple New Application Notifications
New application notifications are now more flexible. Instead of a single internal recipient setup, you can create multiple notification rows for different teams, regions, departments, or hiring managers.
Jobs now include an Application Notification field, letting you choose which notification rows should receive new application emails for that specific job. Existing jobs continue to use the Default notification automatically.

Applicant Communication Workflows
2.18.0 adds new applicant communication tools for evaluations, offers, hired messages, and rejection messages.
Each communication can send a private applicant link, track its status, and collect a response where needed. Evaluations can include questions, offers can include accept and reject options, and hired or rejection messages can collect optional applicant replies.
This gives teams a more structured way to manage important applicant-facing conversations directly inside the application workflow.

Improved Interview Scheduling
Interview scheduling now supports more complete communication. Schedule requests can include custom messages and attachments, applicants can respond through private links, and teams can track statuses like sent, read, answered, and expired.
Schedule replies and reminders are also handled more consistently, making it easier to keep interview coordination in one place.
Expanded Email Placeholders
Email templates now support a wider set of placeholders for applicant details, job details, company information, schedule links, communication links, offer decision links, reference details, and reviewer names.
This makes templates more reusable while still keeping each message personal and relevant.
What This Means
Kraken Careers 2.18.0 gives hiring teams a stronger communication layer: cleaner defaults, better routing, richer applicant interactions, and more control over notification templates.
