Overview

The Dashboard gives administrators a quick view of recent Kraken Careers activity.

Go to Careers → Settings → Dashboard.

Use the links below to jump to a section:

Dashboard Greeting

The dashboard starts with a personalised greeting for the signed-in WordPress user.

The introduction explains that the dashboard can be used to review recent Careers content and settings changes.

The greeting does not change any records or settings.

Recently Modified Jobs

Recently Modified Jobs lists recent changes to job postings.

Each row can show:

  • The job title
  • The action taken
  • The date and time of the change
  • The user who made the change

Select a job title to open its WordPress edit screen when the job still exists.

The dashboard does not show every job in the system. It shows the most recent activity within the activity-log retention period.

Recently Modified Candidates

Recently Modified Candidates lists recent changes to candidate records.

Rows can show:

  • The candidate record
  • The action taken
  • The date and time of the change
  • The user who made the change

Select a candidate record when a link is available and you have permission to open it.

Candidate activity on this dashboard is separate from the detailed activity shown on an individual candidate record.

Recently Modified Job Locations

Recently Modified Locations lists recent changes to reusable Job Location records.

A row can show the location title, action, modified date, and user.

Select the location title to open the record when it still exists and your account has permission to edit it.

Recently Modified Company Profiles

Recently Modified Company Profiles lists recent changes to company profiles.

A row can show:

  • The company profile title
  • The action taken
  • The modified date
  • The user who made the change

Select the title to open the company profile when it is still available.

Changes to a company profile can affect jobs that use that profile. Review the linked jobs after making an address, contact, description, or logo change.

Recently Modified Benefits

Recently Modified Benefits lists recent changes to reusable Benefits records.

A row can show the benefits title, action, modified date, and user.

Select the benefits title to open the record when it still exists.

Changes to a benefits record can affect every job that uses it. Check those job postings after updating the benefits description.

Recently Modified Screening Questions

Recently Modified Screening Questions lists recent changes to screening question sets.

A row can show:

  • The question-set title
  • The action taken
  • The modified date
  • The user who made the change

Select the title to open the question set when it is still available.

Review any jobs that use the question set after changing questions, answer choices, scoring, or knockout rules.

Recently Modified Settings

Recently Modified Settings lists the most recent changes made in the Kraken Careers settings area.

Each row can show:

  • The setting that was changed
  • The action
  • The modified date
  • The user who made the change

Use this section to identify recent configuration changes when investigating a change in email delivery, job display, application behaviour, access, or another Careers feature.

The dashboard shows the five most recent settings changes.

Activity Display Limits

The content activity sections show up to 15 recent records for each item type.

The settings section shows up to five records.

The activity log retains records for 60 days. Older activity is removed automatically, so the dashboard is not a permanent audit history.

Deleted records may remain visible in the activity list while they are within the retention period, but they do not have an edit link.

Open the Help Centre

The Help section includes a link to the Kraken Careers Help Centre.

Use it to open setup guides, feature instructions, and troubleshooting information.

The Help Centre opens separately from the WordPress dashboard.

Check Activity Details

Use the dashboard when you need a quick view of what changed recently.

For a specific record, open the linked job, candidate, location, company, benefits record, or screening question set and review its current information.

The dashboard’s activity list identifies the record, action, date, and user. It does not provide a full history of every field value.

Troubleshooting

The Dashboard Shows No Activity

This can happen when no activity has been recorded during the retention period.

Create or update a test record, save it, and reload the dashboard. If the activity table still remains empty, ask your WordPress administrator to check the plugin setup and database health.

A Change Is Missing

Check the date of the change. The dashboard only displays recent activity retained by Kraken Careers.

Also confirm that the change was made through a Kraken Careers screen that records activity. The dashboard does not display every action performed elsewhere in WordPress.

An Activity Row Has No Edit Link

An edit link is unavailable when the record was deleted or when the current user does not have permission to edit it.

The activity entry can remain visible even when the original record is no longer available.

The Wrong User Appears in Modified By

The dashboard records the WordPress user associated with the change.

Confirm that the correct user account was used when the record or setting was edited. Automated actions may show the system actor rather than a staff member.

Old Activity Has Disappeared

Activity records are retained for 60 days. Older records are removed automatically.

The dashboard also limits the number of rows shown in each section, so older activity may no longer appear even when newer activity exists.

A Settings Change Is Not Listed

Confirm that the settings page was saved successfully.

The dashboard records saved settings changes. Opening a settings page or changing a field without saving does not create a completed settings activity entry.

I Need the Complete Change History

The Dashboard is a recent-activity view, not a permanent audit archive.

Use the individual record’s available activity information for more detail, or contact your WordPress administrator if older records are required.
